Timara
Type: Planetoid System: Nusantara System Trade Goods: Spices, hydrocarbons, isotopes Population: Void botanists and genesmiths Tech Level: Advanced (possesses Precursor technology)
Overview
In the lush walled gardens of Timara, the gardener tends to life with a careful hand. Each plant is a testament to their skill, each garden a sanctuary of peace. The vibro-shears and hydroponics are symbols of their craft, nurturing life in the most unlikely of places.
The Grail Device
Timara possesses a grail/cornucopia device—a nanoforge that can synthesize practically anything by tapping into multidimensional currents. This Precursor technology makes them nearly self-sufficient and incredibly valuable.
Society and Culture
The Timarans are insular, pacifists, and ideologues. To them, wealth has almost no meaning, and they trade more in reputation and social connections than credits.
They are skilled genesmiths and biotechnicians, basically transhumans who have modified themselves extensively.
Defense
They grow a variety of void-botany which yields spices, isotopes, and resources of incalculable value. They credibly threaten to burn down everything if actions are taken against them—a deterrent that has kept them safe despite their valuable resources.
