Ashtari Cult

The Ashtari Cult is a collective of Precursor worshippers who claim descent from the Ur (Precursors). They carry vials of gases from the Ashtari Cloud, which they inhale to connect with their presumed ancestors through visions and prophecies.

Ashtari Seers are mystics who peer into the future through sacred rituals and ancient technology, guided by visions and the ethereal whispers of the Maelstrom. They walk the path between the known and unknown, deciphering omens and prophecies.

Whether their claimed Ur descent is genuine genetic heritage, religious mythology, or partial truth remains unclear—but the gases do produce altered states, and their knowledge of Precursor technology appears authentic. Their sacred connection to the Ashtari Cloud’s dangerous depths protects their operations from interference.

The cult shares interest in Precursor technology with the Night Speakers and Cult of the Emerald Heart, making them potential allies or rivals depending on circumstances. The ghost ship Terminus might also seek their knowledge of the Eye of Nusantara.
