Overview

The oceans of Putriea are choked with islands and in turn the islands are overrun with a wildfire cancer of vegetation – a morass of stinking kelp, strangling vines and towering fungal cathedrals. Worse still, the islands themselves are alive. Just look beneath the waterline and you’ll see them breathing and pulsing.”

The War

The Dual Monarchy has been attempting to conquer Putriea in an almost decade-long conflict, fighting local guerillas backed by Ispania.

Redemption of Souls and the Skymarshal

Dual Monarchy carrier with a destroyed drive, scuttled in Putriea’s orbit. From here the Sky Marshal wages his war on Putriea. His Skyfleet maintains a strict blockade around the planet.

The Sky Marshal trades Putriean drugs, Dual Monarchy weapons, and xenos artifacts for supplies and maintenance equipment.

Wintertide’s Insurgency

Wintertide is the mythical commander orchestrating the insurgency. Cathay has a battalion of scouts and snipers that supplement local Saathla guerillas. They have APCs, air superiority fighters, and a detachment of shock suits.

Putriea’s Psychosis

Extended stay on Putriea brings forth dormant psychosis and other irrational behavior in humans. Theories:

• High saturation of fungal pathogens
• Natural response to the hellish environment
• Corrupting influence of the planet herself
