The 5th Legion is a military fleet descended from the Mandate of Terra, representing law enforcement anywhere off-planet in the Golden Triangle. Their Mandate-era heavy cruiser and support frigates patrol shipping lanes, combat piracy, and enforce what remains of pre-Scream authority in the void.

Legion Void Marines are elite space combat specialists equipped with advanced Mandate technology—energy weapons and pretech systems that give them an edge over most local forces. They claim jurisdiction over all orbital space, stations, and jump points, which sometimes brings them into tension with planetary governments and Great Power navies.

The Legion maintains Mandate military traditions with pride bordering on arrogance. Their primary enemies are the Maelstrom Corsairs and pirates of all stripes, though they’ll pursue any criminal bold enough to operate in their claimed space.
